Session (1)

Are you eager to explore the thrilling world of Voice Acting and become a real “Voice Actor”
This is for people who want to be professional, to have their demo material professional and perceived as such.
Ordinarily, we meet for a session over a couple of hours in our Dublin City studio in which we listen to your voice on mic, i.e. you read some texts which are accessed, which we give you and we gauge what type of material might suit your voice to record and help you figure out your style and what we need to prepare to record to best suit you and your place in the Vo industry.

This also helps eradicate cobwebs and those pesky nerves which build up in between gigs which the mic can pick up on. And you get a feel from the studio environment and a variety of texts across different disciplines.
You also get a walk through important etiquette and what’s expected both in the studio and for eventual home recording. We talk through working on and marking scripts, potential challenges. You then gain an insight into the do’s and don’ts of working for yourself and dealing with the world of Vo in general, self recording, marketing and equipment.

This session is very important. Also with regards to you objectively hearing yourself on mic and picking material that’s totally suitable for your end goal to manage your expections. Because not everyone has the same experience, objectives or confidence.

Other service providers just hand you a pile of scripts and you’ve literally 10 mins to pick all your material and record. This can be extremely overwhelming for some people, who in turn, have no idea where to begin or give up altogether. Frankly, working that way can put people off for life.

Session (2)
This part is the record. We record 3-4 pieces, depending on time. We try get you the most material as possible to show off the parameters of your ability.

That’s radio advert texts plus one or two other selections which I recommend to you to practise with prior to session two.

After this you will receive a mixed/mastered Demo and the 3 to 4 separate ads will be provided for you afterwards for you to upload on soundcloud or your website to promote yourself. One demo 120 secs and 3-4 adverts. Mixed and mastered and delivered at mp3/wav files. Music, sound mixed and edited..

Graphic Design/Photos:

For an additional Charge We can provide a pro photo with graphic design images (examples available on request) to accompany your audio work which you can upload onto said sites or social media or to go on a streaming platform such as soundcloud.

To have an active link to a webpage to send to potential employers.
There is an option for the Designs and the designs Plus photo.

 

Some companies charge up to 600/700e for these services for just one session, a demo reel and do very little working through actual texts and detailed coaching, they ostensibly just hit record and say off you go, or you’re thrust into working in a group learning situation. So as you can see, it’s good value and we get a lot of referrals and testimonials.

The coaching part is most important in our opinion because it prepares you for the professional elite environment.

 

In addition, When we’ve finished working we also provide a to zoom with you after for any advice to check in and see how you’re progressing and give any relevant help/pointers in the near future. We also have a client only FB group for continued support and further opportunities/Voiceover training, upskilling. .

Paul has over 20 years experience working in Film and Tv as an Actor, Voiceover Artist and in Copy and content creation with some world famous brands, organisations and charities.
Vastly experienced in Vo Commercials, Narration and across Audio drama, Radio performance, and live and online hosting and Podcasting. Credits over the years include a number of Radio plays for Rte radio Drama, Rte Jnr and the BBC and work for Google podcasts, Wondry, Netflix, Animation company Studio Meala, The Irish Human Rights Equality Commission, St Vincent DePaul, Renault, The European Human Rights Defenders, NHRI Human Rights international, Forensic Science Ireland, Chadwicks, MND, Panda, Beats Medical, Agrina Mines, Deloitte, The Hep C Partnership, Irish Life, The Wild Atlantic Way, South Dublin Co, Council, Wise Owl Irish Whiskey, Red Cube design, Irish Jobs.ie, Dingle Distillery, Airfield Estate, Onside Cross-border Community Org, Core Property management and The Very popular Irish Historical Audio Drama “The Invincibles, Park Assassins” which is available on Spotify. Of which Paul plays seven characters. Paul also began his Directing and producing journey in recent years with an Historical Documentary on Irish Cinemas, “The Picturehouse” Which screened on Rte, Rte player and internationally and “Cherished Unequally” – a visual piece on the housing crisis.
Which went viral with over 150,000 views and was featured across the national media.
He also received a Scholarship to study at John Boorman’s Irish Film school for outstanding potential.

Paul has received funding from Screen Ireland/Screen Skills Ireland on three separate occasions, and five regional County Councils, including the Stakeholders fund for Film Network Ireland and was a recipient of the Bank of Ireland Millennium Scholars Trust Award for outstanding potential in the Arts. He regularly hosts and produces the Film and Tv industry Podcast Fni Wrapchat, which has consistently produced episodes weekly for the last 4 years with some of the most important cast and crew members across the country, He has hosted and/produced over 180 episodes. He is currently developing a single drama and two documentary feature films.

With Fni, Paul has developed many educational opportunities and live events and socials for Film and Tv, working with the Cork Film Festival, Diff, Ewen Bremner, Lenny Abrahamson, Frank Berry, Irish Equity, The Dublin Film Festival and a great many more Guilds, Festivals and organisations at national and international level.

A former Member and Company Member of Dublin Youth Theatre and The National Youth Theatre, Paul Graduated from the Gaiety School of Acting Full-Time Course with a full scholarship.
He also founded the popular Film Network Ireland (FNI) company, KinoD and hosts in person and online events such as the latest Screen Ireland event Unmasked at the Conference centre Griffith college, seminars and many online and in person classes and interviewed well over 100 professionals in film and tv. He also Teaches Acting and Filmmaking and has lectured in Italy and Switzerland regularly. Paul was also the recipient of the Axis Assemble theatre award in 2022.
